About the Performance

Director Ivan Uryvskyi reinterprets the classic story by Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko through a modern lens.
Premiered in 2023 during wartime Kyiv, the production became a cultural manifesto of the new Ukrainian theater. It now takes the international stage, including Amsterdam.
