The musical comedy “The Night Before Christmas” was created based on the novel of the same name, a classic of Ukrainian literature by Mykola Gogol, and director-producer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Andrii Bakirov.
To which fictions the performers do not resort, in order to create a magical, fairy-tale atmosphere of a festive Christmas night on the stage. Ancient legends and pictures of the life of the Ukrainian village of that time, real and imaginary, fantastic and comic, are intricately intertwined here.
